How to Style This Set

Full 4-pot cluster - Place all 4 planters together in a patio corner, beside outdoor seating, outside bifold doors or near a garden room. The different sizes create height variation, while the matching black concrete finish keeps the display looking planned and premium.

3 outside, 1 inside - Use the 55cm, 40cm and 30cm pots outside as the main garden feature, then place the 20cm pot indoors for herbs, succulents or compact greenery. This creates a connected indoor-outdoor look without needing every pot in one place.

Entrance styling - Use the larger pots to frame a front door, gate, patio opening or walkway. Add the smaller planters nearby on steps, ledges or beside seating areas to soften the layout and make the entrance feel more finished.

Balanced pairs - Style the larger pots as a pair around a doorway or seating zone, then use the smaller pots on tables, corners, shelves or indoor surfaces. This is ideal if you want structure without the display looking too formal.

Modern planter row - Line the planters along a patio edge, balcony wall, decking area or garden boundary. The cylinder shape creates a softer, rounded look while the dark finish adds contrast and definition.

Planting Ideas by Pot Size

Why Choose the Aurella Onyx Dusk Planter Set?

Solves the mismatched pot problem - A garden or patio can quickly look cluttered when planters are different shapes, finishes and colours. This set gives you 4 matching concrete pots in one coordinated design, helping your planting area look more intentional from the start.

Creates a designed look instantly - The different sizes make it easy to create a layered display with height, depth and balance. Use the 55cm planter as the anchor, then build around it with the 40cm, 30cm and 20cm pots for a more professional garden styling effect.

Flexible for indoor and outdoor use - The full set can be used outside, but it does not have to be. Use larger pots outdoors for shrubs, grasses or feature planting, and use the smaller planters indoors for herbs, succulents or decorative houseplants.

Bold black and charcoal finish - The Onyx Dusk colourway brings together black, charcoal and grey tones for a strong contemporary look. It pairs especially well with green foliage, pale stone, timber decking, black-framed doors, rattan furniture and modern outdoor tiles.

Rounded cylinder shape - Aurella’s cylinder profile gives the planters a softer look than square pots while still feeling clean, structured and modern. This makes the set easy to use in both contemporary and classic garden schemes.

Durable concrete construction - Each planter is made from pigmented concrete with a substantial wall thickness for a sturdy, premium feel. The colour is part of the material rather than a painted coating, helping reduce the risk of peeling or flaking over time.

Made for year-round styling - The planters are sealed, UV-stable and frost-resistant, making them suitable for outdoor placement as well as indoor styling. Drainage holes help excess water escape, supporting healthier root systems when planted correctly.

Where to Use Them

Patios and terraces - Use the full set to add greenery, height and structure to paved areas, especially where there are no built-in beds or borders.

Entrances and front doors - Frame a doorway or path with the larger planters, then use the smaller pots to add detail on steps, ledges or nearby corners.

Balconies and compact gardens - Split the set across corners, walls and seating areas to create a coordinated display without overwhelming the space.

Garden rooms and bifold doors - Position the planters outside a garden room, studio or open-plan kitchen to soften the transition between indoor and outdoor living.

Indoor plant styling - Use the smaller planters for herbs, succulents, houseplants or decorative greenery. Add suitable surface protection or matching saucers where available for indoor use.

Practical Notes

The Aurella planters are designed for indoor and outdoor use, with drainage holes included to support healthier roots and reduce waterlogging. For indoor placement, use suitable surface protection and pair smaller planters with matching saucers where available.

For outdoor use, place planters on a stable, level surface and avoid allowing excess water to sit underneath the pot for long periods. For more detailed advice, please see the Pots & Planter Care Guidelines section at the bottom of this page.

Full Description

The Aurella set of 4 black and charcoal concrete cylinder planters is designed for customers who want a coordinated, premium and flexible way to style plants across the garden and home. With 20cm, 30cm, 40cm and 55cm planters included, the set gives you a useful mix of compact styling pots, medium planters and a larger 93L statement pot.

The Onyx Dusk finish gives the set a bold, contemporary look. Its black, charcoal and grey tones create a strong backdrop for green foliage, flowering plants, ornamental grasses, herbs and shrubs. This makes the planters especially effective in modern patios, entrance spaces, balconies, courtyards, garden rooms and minimalist outdoor schemes.

One of the biggest advantages of the set is flexibility. Use all 4 pots together for a full garden cluster, split them between indoor and outdoor spaces, or style them in pairs to frame doors, pathways or seating areas. The matching finish keeps everything visually connected, while the different sizes allow the display to feel layered rather than flat.

The rounded cylinder shape gives Aurella a softer, more timeless look than sharp-edged planters. It works well with rattan furniture, timber decking, pale stone, black-framed doors, concrete paving and neutral interiors, making the set easy to use across a wide range of home and garden styles.

Each planter is made from pigmented concrete, so the colour runs through the material rather than being applied as surface paint. This gives the pots a more authentic stone-like finish and helps prevent peeling or flaking. Natural pitting and subtle variation are part of the handcrafted concrete character, giving each planter its own individual look.

Use the 20cm pot for herbs, succulents or small houseplants; the 30cm pot for lavender, flowering plants or medium greenery; the 40cm pot for ornamental grasses, compact shrubs or seasonal planting; and the 55cm pot as the main anchor for larger feature planting.

Strong, simple and easy to style, the Aurella Onyx Dusk set turns everyday planting into a more considered design feature. Whether you want to upgrade a patio, frame an entrance, sharpen a balcony, style a garden room or connect indoor and outdoor greenery, this set gives you a complete planter display in one purchase.
